Friday Harbor, WA – December 31, 2025 – San Juan County Fire Protection District No. 3 (San Juan Island Fire & Rescue) is pleased to announce the successful completion of its three-year accountability audit by the Washington State Auditor’s Office (SAO), covering the period January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2024.

Wildland Firefighter Class to be held Spring 2023

San Juan Island Fire & Rescue is now accepting applications from the community for the upcoming 2023 EMT Course.

San Juan Island Fire & Rescue would like to express gratitude to emergency responders and the wider community in the aftermath of the April 7 fire downtown.

San Juan Island Fire and Rescue, Town of Friday Harbor, and San Juan County Sheriff’s Office (SJCSO) are at a point in the investigation and recovery of the recent fire on Spring Street to share fire origin and cause.

SJIF&R and the San Juan Island Firefighters Association will host the annual Easter Egg Event this Sunday, April 17th from Noon to 2:00 p.m.

San Juan Island Fire & Rescue will be conducting a training on March 26th and 27th. Exercises are planned to occur between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m on both days.
